Tough times have people looking for part time jobs

Posted by jtsmyth8 on October 29, 2008

The economy has forced many to watch their spending and tighten their belts. Despite having good jobs many are looking for part time employment for a bit of extra income. The next time you’re out at a club enjoying the sultry dances of a go go girl you might take a closer look … at her face that is. Many women are working regular 9 – 5 jobs and in the evenings earning a few extra dollars dancing at clubs. Perhaps she’s your yoga teacher or maybe a housing agent. There’s no doubt that people are looking for alternative options for extra income.

Hiring is expected to freeze and some companies (approx. 10%) are expected to cut jobs. Even the construction industry (traditionally strong growth) is expected to slow significantly. Some industries may weather the storm such as tourism and health care.

Foong Wen Jia: just a regular girl

Posted by jtsmyth8 on September 12, 2008

Check out this video. Make sure you watch the whole thing or at least see the bit at the end “embarrassing moment”. I kid you not I must have laughed so hard my stomach hurt. AH HA! So girls do fart! All silliness aside this is really comforting on a few levels. She’s just a regular girl! (Who happens to be beautiful too!) I’ll try to keep this in mind the next time I approach a hottie at a club.

Come on, be honest. We’ve all been there at one time for another. Gas just builds up sometimes and you happen to be in an awkward location where “letting it go” could be embarrassing. So you try and let up, and release it slowly but OOPS, there you go! You’ve done it, and it was a really loud one! Everybody heard it. No use in pretending it was the guy next to you. Hang your head in shame and quickly leave. Don’t worry someday you will look back and laugh about it.

Online prostituting out of control?

Posted by jtsmyth8 on August 1, 2008

A concerned reader wrote to the citizen journalism website STOMP yesterday in response to an earlier post about a girl prostituting herself online in order to support her family. The STOMPer said that online soliciting is increasingly common in Singapore, and that this is a disgrace to society.

There have been several notable incidents regarding Singaporean women ‘advertising’ their services on various online avenues in the recent years. Singaporean websites with sexually explicit content were also brought into the media spotlight in recent months. Cases include explicit posts on an air stewardess’ blog to a political party’s online forum being spammed with porn links.

Earlier this year, a young woman who claimed to be a schoolgirl promised to fulfil fetishes by posing in her panties and selling the photos as well as the used panties. She also posted a list of other services she offers on her blog, including a sex hotline, cyber sex services and sexual videos of her wearing costumes that buyers decide.

Another teenage girl offered sexual services on her blog, stating that she charges “$200/1 shot/45 minutes” in order to earn money to help her family out with their problems. Several racy photos, presumably to entice potential ‘customers’ were also posted on the site. (story)

Stiff sentence for child thieves

Posted by jtsmyth8 on July 30, 2008

What is the matter with today’s youth? Teenagers are turning into common street thugs. I blame gangs and the parents. Parents too busy earning money neglect their children and gangs prey on them and they become recruited into the underworld. This smash and grab sounds like an initiation rite of passage.

“Three Hong Kong children have been sentenced to more than three years for the armed hold-up of a jewellery shop, a newspaper said on Thursday, with the court saying the stiff sentence was in the public interest.

Disguised with masks and caps, the two boys and one girl, all aged 14, threatened staff at the shop with knives in September last year, grabbing gold necklaces, bracelets and pendants valued at more than HK$1 million ($128,200).” (story)

Many girls having ‘virgin’ surgery

Posted by jtsmyth8 on June 10, 2008

“The girls don’t come alone (for the consultation and surgery). They come with their boyfriends or a trusted girlfriend,” says a consultant plastic surgeon with a notable private hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

A lot can happen when youths leave home to study abroad and sexual exploration is invariably on the top of the list.

“And when these girls come here — either with their boyfriends or they befriend local guys — some of them engage in penetrative sexual acts,” says the surgeon.

But despite the freedom they enjoy here, the day eventually comes when they have to go home to their parents, get married and settle down.

And some of these girls come from communities that for various cultural and religious reasons, still require a girl to be a virgin.

“To them, having the hymen intact is not just an important marriage commodity — their very lives depend on it,” says the surgeon. (story)
