Formula 1 race should boost business for all

Posted by jtsmyth8 on September 23, 2009

Tourists hoping to see fast cars (and get some fast women) should be in luck this year. There are plenty showing off their wares on Orchard Rd. The race attracts racing fans from around the world and many of them wealthy. That’s what escorts and others working in the red light district are hoping. Ever since the crackdown on prostitution income business has been slow for many. But the latest tourist attraction hopes to lure those looking for a good time. Good luck ladies!

Watch Out for HK Computer Zombies!

Posted by jtsmyth8 on September 11, 2009

Hong Kong is the capital of zombies … computer zombies that is. It is estimated there are 4,000 active zombie computers constantly spamming garbage data 24 hours a day. The spam rate out of HK has increased from roughly 85% last year to over 90% this year. So HK users can expect 9 out of every 10 emails they receive to be spammed content.

The side effect of the amount of garbage emails is lost business productivity. Not only does the computer guys need to spend extra time protecting the network but a significant investment needs to be input to prevent future problems. Botnets, zombies, and spammers all attacking on every front. Certainly not a friendly cyberworld we had hoped for when the Internet was developed.

Just be careful of that guy emailing you from a .HK address. Scan it for viruses and don’t give out your personal information.
