Student gets 15 months probation for threats

Posted by jtsmyth8 on May 27, 2008

A youth was placed on 15 months’ supervised probation on Tuesday for using threatening words on a teacher.

Longiness Roy Neo Long Long, 17, had earlier pleaded guilty to threatening Mr Chin Jun Feng, 24, by saying: ‘You will not live more than two days. I will get people to kill you and attend funeral’.

He said this during a class at his school in Jurong West last Aug 17.

A Community Court heard that Mr Chin was invigilating the class when Neo made a lot of noise. When asked to leave, Neo uttered the words in Mandarin before leaving the classroom. (story)
