Singapore’s 10m air pistol men’s team has won the country’s first medal at the South-east Asia Games in Bangkok. The trio of Gai Bin (575pts), Ho Hung Yi (572pts) and Poh Lip Meng (571pts) chalked up 1,718 points, behind Thailand (1,722) and Vietnam (1,722).

The finals have been postponed to Wednesday due to protests from the Thais over the results.

The SEA Games officially starts on Dec 6, but the shooting programme is one of a few events to start before the opening ceremony.

Singapore’s shooters won three golds, four silvers and five bronzes at the last Games in Manila.
