Tokyo vacation might not be a good idea

Planning your next vacation? Perhaps you should cross Tokyo off that list. Recently a survey placed Tokyo as the most expensive city in Asia. The next most expensive cities were Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, and Beijing. Beijing’s rapid development and inflation has it quickly climbing the list. The HK dollar (tied to the US dollar) recently has become more expensive due to currency issues. The Korean dollar (down) has been attributed to lowered costs of cities in Korea. Other Asian currency have had a similar effect on their local economies.

The most expensive city in the world? Luanda (capital of Angola). Primarily an oil rich nation in south Africa ranked the most expensive due to costly consumer items enjoyed by wealthy expatriates.
